Finishing up

I spent the entire day packing everything from my Bernardston, MA apartment! My place is all boxed up and I am just waiting for my pop to come up on Monday to move everything out. There are a few big days coming up quick on me. The life of Riley Open is June 19th, Riley Dancers support Malawi golf day is the 21st, graduation is the 25th, my graduation party is the 26th and I leave for Malawi on the 28th. I am getting really excited for my adventure in Malawi. Here is a map so you can see where I will be!

I will be north of Tanzania and south of Zimbabwe in the Southeast corner! I am staying in Chigamba village at Little Field orphanage. To check out their website click here!

I got my computer fixed and the programs I need downloaded. I purchased a blackberry and an international plan so I can make phone calls while I am traveling. I have purchased 15 digital cameras and 50 memory cards for the children. Now I need to get the cameras set up and the memory cards formated and buy a few things here and there so I can execute my project once I get there! I still need to buy things for me as well. I can only wear long skirts and T-shirts. I have a million T-shirts but not one long skirt. So I am well on my way :)

I am heading to NH to visit people before I leave for Africa tuesday and wednesday of next week. Then I will be back in CT until I leave!

  1. Dear Kelley AKA "Adele"... it's been 3 days that I have now known you, and be relieved that I have found many reasons to keep you. You're an amazing friend to many and you continue to spread kindness and love and living it loud. I am so glad our paths have crossed. I wish I would've known you earlier and gotten the chance to make more memories with you, hopefully the future will be full of them, (Stamford, CT). They say the best of friendships build over time, and as true as that might be, I don't think that had to be the case for us. You really have been a burst of joy and blessing to me.. as you know it's been tough and will be tough for the rest of my year here at Hallmark, but even in the past 72 hours I feel encouraged and ready to take it on.
MALAWI, here she comes:) It really takes a lot to do what you're about to do in like 13 days. I'm so for you and no need to worry Kelley, you're gonna do great. The kids will love you, you'll wish you brought more empty suitcases with you to fill with your students:) And just as you have brought me joy and happiness in sharing a little piece of your heart and life in such a small period of time, you'll do the same for your piers and students in Malawi.. And like they've known you for years, they wont wanna say goodbye just like I wont when that times comes:)
you're great great great great thank-you for changing around somethings in my life;) love you much!
